SANAA, Oct. 22 (YPA) – A joint meeting was held in the Shura Council on Saturday and included Head of the Council’s Human Rights and Freedoms Committee, Haseba Shenif, and Assistant Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Muhammad Faris.
The meeting dealt with a number of issues related to humanitarian work under the current circumstances due to the aggression and siege.
At the meeting, Shenif reviewed the committee’s plans and tasks entrusted to it in providing the necessary advice and proposals to the relevant authorities aimed at developing work.
Shenif stressed the importance of coordination and joint action to develop plans and proposals that contribute to facilitating the work of the Humanitarian Affairs Council.
In turn, Faris reviewed some of the needs and requirements that the Humanitarian Affairs Council needs to carry out its tasks optimally, as well as the difficulties it faces in the implementation of some projects for the beneficiaries.
The discussions emphasized the importance of working towards finding sustainable projects in the fields of health, water and services to meet the needs of the target groups in the long term.
