Sanaa witnesses funeral of former interior minister

SANAA, Oct. 12 (YPA) – The capital Sanaa witnessed on Wednesday the funeral of body of the former Minister of Interior, Lieutenant-General Abdulhakim Al-Maweri, who passed away after a life full of giving in the service of the country.

During the funeral ceremony attended by member of the Supreme Political Council, Muhammad Ali al-Houthi, and Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, the mourners praised the dedication and struggle of Lieutenant-General Abdulhakim Al-Maweri during his working life in the security establishment, and his standing in the side of the nation and facing the aggressive war on Yemen.

The funeral ceremony for the deceased Al-Maweri’s body took place after praying for him at the People’s Mosque in the capital’s secretariat, and was buried in the cemetery of the martyr Al-Sammad in the capital’s secretariat.
