Meteorology calls on citizens to stay away from water ways

SANAA, Sept. 19 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology renewed its warning to citizens to stay away from the water ways and valleys due to the heavy rainfall in some Yemen provinces.

In its weather bulletin on Monday, the center called on motorists to drive carefully because of low horizontal visibility on mountainous roads due to the formation of low clouds and the formation of fog.

The bulletin affirmed that partly cloudy to cloudy weather on mountain heights, and thunderstorms of varying intensity over the provinces of Lahj, Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Mahweet, Hajjah and Dhamar, as well as to Sanaa, Amran, Saada, Bayda, Abyan, Shabwa and Hadramout.

Socotra Archipelago: The weather would be clear to partly cloudy, with light rain and active to very fast southwesterly winds ranging from 20-35 knots.
