Meteorology expects scattered showers in some Yemen provinces

SANAA, Sept. 17 (YPA) – The scattered showers is expected in some Yemeni provinces during the coming 24 hours, the National Center of Meteorology on said on Saturday.

The center said in weather bulletin that the light rains, with the thunderstorms, would prevail over the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Dhamar, Sanaa, Amran, Mahweet, Hajjah and Saada, as well as Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan and Shabwa.

It indicated the possibility of scattered rain of varying intensity on parts of the western coasts and Tihama plain, and light rains on parts of the southern and eastern coasts.

The center alerted citizens in areas where rain expected from torrential flows in valleys and water ways, as well as from rock and mud slides, calling on motorists to drivers carfully on the mountainous roads as a result of the low visibility on roads due to the formation of low clouds or fog.
