Meteorology expects rain of varying intensity during coming hours

SANAA, Aug. 27 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology will be expected rain of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, during the next 24 hours.

The center explained in its weather bulletin on Saturday that the rain would be heavy on areas in the provinces of Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Al Dhalea, Raymah, Dhamar, Mahweet, and Hajjah, as well as Bayda, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, Mahra and Lahj.

while the winds would be very fast in the Socotra archipelago, ranging between 30-40 knots and 15-25 knots in the Gulf of Aden and the eastern and southern coastal strip.

The Meteorological Center warned citizens against the flow of torrents in water ways and valleys, and from mudslides and rocks, calling for protection from thunderstorms.
