President Al-Mashat stresses need to place treatments to drain floods in capital Sanaa

SANAA, Jul. 27 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, on Wednesday stressed the need to put in place appropriate treatments to drain rainwater and floods in the capital, Sanaa, to protect the homes and properties of citizens.

During his meeting today with Mayor of the capital, Hamoud Obad, President Al-Mashat urged the concerned bodies to implement retaining walls for houses damaged by heavy rains and torrents in Mathbah area as soon as possible.

President Al-Mashat emphasized the importance of paying attention to cleanliness and improvement work.

The meeting discussed the progress of work in the capital’s local council and the efforts made to deal with the damage caused by heavy rains witnessed by the capital during the past two days.
