Power plant stop reveals STC’s large corruption scandal

ADEN, Jul. 07 (YPA) – The suspension of a power plant in Aden province has revealed a major corruption scandal of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) worth 50 billion riyals.

The company operating of “Intersolar” station announced its stop to claim for the payment of its dues, at a time when the STC had announced that the station had been purchased with an amount of 50 billion riyals from the self-revenues of Aden.

Sources told southern media that STC’s officials who were charged of the revenue collection were involved in the corruption deal, explaining that those officials had rented the station, with a capacity of 22 megabytes, and announced that they had bought it for 50 billion riyals.
