Governor of Hadramout: Coalition countries are racing to loot Hadramout’s oil wealth

SANAA, Jun. 28 (YPA) – The Governor of Hadramout, Luqman Baras, on Monday confirmed that the Saudi-led coalition countries are racing to plunder the province’s wealth, and turn Hadramout into an arena of regional and international conflict for control.

“The capabilities and wealth of Hadramout have been plundered by mercenaries and agents for years, and now it has become more acute,” Baras said.

He pointed out that the looting of crude oil comes at a time when the cities of the province are living in darkness due to the running out of electricity fuel.

Baras affirmed that the coalition countries are seeking to turn the Hadramout into an arena of influence, which is the most prominent factor that fueled popular discontent in the province, as a natural reaction to the deterioration of public services and the confiscation of the rights of the people of the province.

The governor reiterated the support for legitimate demands and peaceful demonstrations aimed at wresting rights and freedoms from the grip of the invaders and occupiers, calling on the free people of Hadramout to resist the occupation and refused the entry of any Saudi, Emirati, American and British colonial forces into their lands.

He stated that the ambitions of the countries of invasion and occupation in the province have been exposed for decades, and just as their conspiratorial plans fell in Hadramout before the aggression, they will now fall.

Baras denounced the policy of repression and abuse practiced by the authorities loyal to the UAE occupation in Mukalla and Shihr cities against citizens.
