Israeli ship extracting gas provokes Hezbollah

SANAA, June.05 (YPA) – Lebanon’s Hezbollah announced on Sunday its refusal to enter a ship belonging to the Israeli occupation entity to extract and store gas to the disputed Karish field between Beirut and Tel Aviv.

“We will not allow the occupation to explore for oil and gas in the disputed area,” the Lebanese newspaper An-Nahar quoted a member of Hezbollah’s Political Council, Mahmoud Qamati, as saying.

The newspaper reported, according to its information, “work has begun to support the installation of the ship site of the liquefied natural gas production and storage unit “ENERGEAN POWER” in the Karish field.”

On Sunday morning, the Israeli ship to extract and store liquefied natural gas entered the Karish field and crossed Line 29 and became 5 km from Line 23, in the disputed area with Lebanon, according to the newspaper.
