SANAA, Ma24 (YPA) – The Supreme Judicial Council approved on Tuesday the nomination of a number of judges to work in the Supreme Court in accordance with the law.
The council affirmed the step came in order to meet the need and to meet the increasing number of cases received by the court, in the context of implementing the legal amendments recently issued to the Pleadings Law.
This came during its weekly meeting, chaired by the President of the Council, Judge Ahmed Yahya Al-Mutawakil.
Al-Mutawakil also reviewed the memorandum issued by the Judicial Inspection Authority regarding the disclosure of prisoners’ data on financial rights owed to others.
The Council urged the courts to proceed with implementation procedures and address the conditions of prisoners who owe debts while they are under investigation.
The meeting directed the Judicial Inspection Authority to issue a circular to create a register for recording the data of detainees under execution in relation to executive cases.
