Meteorology calls on citizens to stay away from water ways

SANAA, April 16 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology has called on citizens in areas where rain expected to stay away from valleys and water ways within the past 24 hours.

In its weather bulletin, the center expected rainfall of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, on the western mountainous range of the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Hajjah, Al-Mahweet,Raymah, Ibb and Taiz, extending to parts of Lahj, Dhalea, Abyan, Bayda, Shabwa, and Hadramout.

The center warned warning motorists on mountain roads to take the necessary precautions against rockslide and low horizontal visibility, as well as formation of fog.

It stated that the weather in the Socotra archipelago would be partly cloudy in general, and scattered light rains, with northeasterly light to moderate winds.
