Former southern president’s son calls for uprising against STC in Aden

ADEN, March 13 (YPA) – Hani Ali Salem Al-Beidh, son of the former southern Yemeni president, called on Sunday for an uprising in southern Yemen against the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) authorities.

Al-Beidh said, in a series of tweets on his Twitter page, “Today, all political, military and civil forces have to define a clear position regarding what the people of the south are going through,” referring to the growing crises in Aden and the other southern provinces.

He noted that the time has come to mobilize all efforts for change, referring to the removal of the STC, the de-facto authority there.

Al-Beidh explicitly accused the STC of theorizing and working according to regional calculations, of avoiding the suffering of citizens.
