Military confrontation expected between UAE-funded armed factions at entrances to Aden

ADEN, March 10 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia on Thursday threatened with an open war against the so-called “Al-Amaliqa Brigades” funded by the UAE, in the context of the control conflict between the two factions, which has escalated recently.

This came a few hours after the troops of the “Second Amaliqa Brigade” took control of the main northern and southern entrances of the city of Aden.

The STC’s President, Aidarous al-Zubaidi, sent an urgent message to the commander of the Al-Amaliqa forces, Abu Zara’a al-Maharami, to quickly evacuate the forces of the Second Brigade from southern Aden.

Observers believe that these moves are a declaration of open war between the two parties.
