40 officers, recruits defected from coalition ranks in Marib

MARIB, March 08 (YPA) – Dozens of coalition officers and soldiers in Marib province defected from Saudi-led coalition and joined the national salvation government, informed sources told Yemen Press Agency.

 

According to the sources, about 40 officers and recruits in the coalition’s 310th  and 114th Brigades announced their defection from the coalition forces and joined the fighting with Sanaa forces.

 

The sources confirmed that the officers and recruits managed to escape from coalition camps in Wadi Abeida, towards Sana’a forces positions in al-Jubah directorate.

 

Coalition forces have already received many strikes with the accession of hundreds of their recruits in Marib to Sana’a forces over the past two years,

 

on January 11, 2021,  more than 300 recruits announced their defection from the coalition forces and their accession with Sana’a forces, after handing over all the weapons they received from the coalition forces and joined the fight against Sanaa’s forces.
