SANAA, Mar. 05 (YPA) – Acting Minister of Human Rights in Sanaa, Ali Al-Dailami, held on Saturday the United Nations and the Security Council full responsible for the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Yemen.
Al-Dailami confirmed in a news statement that the escalation of the US-backed Saudi-Emirati coalition by tightening the siege and piracy on oil derivatives ships is evidence of their involvement in committing crimes of collective punishment against the Yemeni people.
He clarified that the piracy imposed on oil derivatives ships by the coalition states comes as part of its plan to clamp down on Yemenis as a means of pressure to achieve political goals.
Al-Dailami pointed out that piracy against oil derivatives ships is a flagrant violations of the international and humanitarian laws, which emphasize the protection of civilians.
The statement explained that the Yemeni people has been subjected to the most heinous crimes and violations that amount to war crimes for seven years, without moves by the international community, the United Nations and the Security Council.
It warned of the aggravation of the humanitarian situation as a result of stopping the sectors that provide basic services to citizens, such as hospitals, electricity and water services, as a result of the blockade imposed on the oil ships.
