Yemen witnesses climatic changes due to instability of weather

SANAA, March 02 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology confirmed on Wednesday the continuation of instability in the weather in the mountainous highlands and the interior plateaus.

In its weather bulletin, the center expected the possibility of light rains on parts of the western and southern coasts during the next 24 hours.

Acceding to the center, a relatively calm and cold weather is forecasted in the mountainous heights during the night and early morning, especially in the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, and Bayda.

Scattered thunder rain is also expected in parts of the western highlands, from Saada province in the north to Lahj province in the south, and may extend to parts of the interior plateaus.

The center warned citizens against the relatively cold weather, especially the elderly and children. Vehicle drivers on mountainous roads were warned also of a decrease in horizontal visibility due to rain and fog formation.
