Coalition targets Sanaa with 350 tons of explosives

SANAA, Feb. 23 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition warplanes have targeted the various areas of Sanaa province with 350 tons of explosives and dozens of cluster bombs.

Director of the Executive Center for Mine Action, Brigadier Ali Safra, revealed that the remnants of weapons and cluster bombs were targeted by the coalition fighter jets in the center’s al-Tajmia area in Bani Matar, west of Sanaa, amounted to 350 tons of explosives and dozens of cluster bombs.

He stressed the importance of continuing awareness-raising activities about the dangers of cluster bombs and other remnants of coalition in conflicting areas, pointing out that the Center’s tasks and activities are purely humanitarian and have no connection with politics and conflicts.

This came during the conclusion of a training course held in Sanaa, to raise awareness of the dangers of mines, cluster bombs, remnants of war and air raids, to the participants from the affected and targeted districts in Marib province.
