Ukrainian forces shell border areas in Donbass

SANAA, Feb. 19 (YPA) – The self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (unilaterally declared) accused the Ukrainian armed forces of shelling various areas of Donbass with banned  weapons under the Minsk Agreements.

Donetsk representatives said that Ukrainian forces shelled the village of Zaitsevo on the outskirts of Gorlovka in the Donbass , with 120 mm mortar shells, which are prohibited under the Minsk agreements to settle the conflict.

In turn, representatives of Luhansk announced that they have monitored shelling on several areas with 120 mm mortar shells.

Earlier, the declared popular Presidents of Donetsk and Luhansk announced the evacuation of civilians from the two republics, particularly the border areas, to Russia in anticipation of plans by the Ukrainian armed forces to invade the territory of the Republics of Donbass province.
