Press conference in Sanaa reveals circumstances of killing child Mazen Flitah in Marib
SANAA, Feb. 10 (YPA) – The family of the murdered child, Mazen Nidham Flitah, and the “Insan” Organization for Rights and Freedoms held a press conference in Sanaa on Thursday to clarify the facts and reveal the circumstances of the case.
Mazen’s family demanded an investigation into his murder and the speedy arrest of the criminals and handing them over to the judicial institutions, calling on local and international human rights and human rights organizations to condemn these crimes,, as they are crimes of war.
The child family affirmed that the crime of killing the child Mazen by the bandits of the Saudi-led coalition mercenaries in the Marib desert is not the first against travelers between Marib and Jawf provinces. “Rather, it is part of a series of crimes against the travelers, who are given the choice between death or looting their property.”
The family of Mazen Filtah added that this crime comes as a result of the siege imposed on the Yemeni people and the closure of Sanaa airport by the coalition. They held the United Nations and international organizations responsible for this crime due to their silence regarding the closure of the Airport, which exacerbated the suffering of Yemenis.
Nidham Ali Flitah, Mazen’s father, stated that his son, Mazen, traveled by land to the Sultanate of Oman due to the coalition’s continued closure of Sanaa Airport and entered the Sultanate on November 26, 2021, then he left it on December 17, and he stayed in Mahra province, eastern Yemen, with one of his friends to buy a car, and after they bought it they headed to the capital, Sanaa.
“When they arrived in Rweik desert in Raydan are, they were intercepted by one of the vehicle of the bandits, who shot in the air and then directly at the car, which led to the injuring of Mazen, who was in the middle seat of the car, with a gunshot in his back to settle in his left hand,” Mazen’s father said.
He pointed out that after committing the crime, some leaflets were published saying that they succeeded in carrying out a qualitative operation, which targeted the nephew of the official spokesman for Ansarullah, Mohmmed Abdulsalam, which confirms the involvement of the coalition mercenaries in that area in committing the crime.
Mazen was taken to the Marib Hospital on his feet. He underwent a four-hour operation, and he was then transferred to the intensive care unit, where he died.
This indicates that there is a clear and planned targeting to liquidate Mazen under the pretext of his closeness to the head of the national delegation, Mohmmed Abdulsalam, Mazen’s father added.
In turn, head of the “Insan” organization, Dr. Amir El-Din Jahaf, and the activist Mohammed Al-Abed, condemned the crimes of the looting and killing the travelers are subjected to in the areas controlled by the coalition’s forces and its mercenaries.
They stressed that the murder of Mazen Flitah comes within the framework of the continuing state of insecurity and chaos in the those areas, calling the swift arrest of the perpetrators of the murder and handing them over to justice to receive their deterrent punishment.
