Yemeni forces launch counterattack in Hajjah

HAJJAH, Feb. 08 (YPA) -The Yemeni army forces have launched a counterattack on the positions of Saudi-backed forces in the vicinity of Haradh district in Hajjah province, near the Saudi border of Jizan region.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal , based on testimonies of local sources.

According to the sources, Hadi’s military factions and Sudanese mercenaries, backed by Saudi Arabia, had launched attacks in an attempt to besiege the city of Haradh, but the Yemeni forces launched counter-attacks and managed to clear the al-Mihsam area, which houses a camp of the First Brigade of Border Guards of the forces of aggression.

The Yemeni offensive foiled the coalition’s plan to blockade the city of Haradh, the sources said.

Meanwhile, the aggression coalition’s warplanes launched several strikes on different areas in Hajjah as part of an attempt to stop the Yemeni army’s progress, but without success.
