ERBIL, Feb. 02 (YPA) – At least eight people killed and others injured in Turkish airstrikes in northern Iraq, Iraqi media reported.
“Eight people were killed and several others injured in an initial bombing of Turkish aircraft targeting a camp in the northern Iraqi city of Makhmour in Erbil province,” al-Sumaria News quoted an Iraqi security source as saying.
An Iraqi security source said about 20 Turkish raids targeted areas in northern Iraq.
In August, Turkish regime forces shelled several areas in the northern Iraqi province of Duhok, displacing Iraqi families and causing significant material damage to their property as part of the regime’s ongoing attacks, which violate its sovereignty under the pretext of targeting the PKK.
