U.S. advises its citizens to leave Ukraine

SANAA, Jan. 30 (YPA) – The U.S. embassy in Kiev has again urged its nationals to leave Ukraine due to the “unexpected” security situation in Ukraine.

“The security situation in Ukraine remains unpredictable due to the increasing threats of Russian military action and could deteriorate without much notice,” the embassy said in a statement on Saturday.

“US citizens in Ukraine should consider leaving now using commercial transportation options available to the private sector,” it added.

The statement suggested that citizens go to countries close to Ukraine such as Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova.

“The US citizens, who are currently facing difficulties in purchasing tickets for commercial flights, can be granted a loan from the embassy.”
