MAHRA, Jan. 12 (YPA) – British troops have arrived in the last two days at Al-Ghaydah Airport in Mahra province of Yemen.
According to sources familiar with the matter, a number of British troops and officers were sent to the airport to enhance the forces centralized there last years ago.
This comes after security and military tensions sparked between anti-foreign sit-in in the province and The UAE-backed Southern Transition Council (STC) militia, which is seeking to control the border province as the district of Wadi Hadramout and the city of Ataq city of Shabwa.
British sent its troops to the airport at the end of November under a pretext to prosecute the Israeli Mercer Street off the coast of Amman, killing a British soldier.
