Pro-coalition commander survives assassination attempt in Dhalea

DHALEA, Jan. 05 (YPA) – A senior leader in the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias survived on Wednesday an assassination attempt in Dhalea province, south of Yemen.

According to sources, an explosive device was planted by unknown persons to a military vehicle of the commander of the “Third Brigade” of the STC, Zakaria Qaboos, wounding slightly him and causing severe damage to his vehicle.

Assassinations are expanded within among the “STC” militia as a result of acquisition of most of the leadership positions by sons of Radfan and Yafa.
