Emirates firms continue to cut off power in Socotra

SOCORTA, Dec. 19 (YPA) – Dozens of sons of the Socotra archipelago threatened on Sunday to take steps to escalate against Emirates Daxim Power because of cutting off power.

Local sources reported that the company had cut off the service for the areas of Kudah, Qashihahen and Qadeeb.

The Emirati company affiliated with the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Works has imposed exorbitant fees on the electricity tariff, which approximately reached 100-900 thousand riyals in the province.
