Saudi-Emirati coalition commits heinous operation to destroy terrestrial environment in archipelago: Socotra governor

SOCOTRA, Nov. 30 (YPA) – Governor of the Socotra Archipelago, Hashem Al-Socotri, affirmed on Tuesday “that the Saudi-Emirati coalition is committing the most heinous operation of razing and destroying the Yemeni marine and terrestrial environment in the archipelago.”

“Saba Agency” in Sanaa quoted the governor of Socotra, that the archipelago has turned into a military barracks for the Saudi-Emirati occupation, their tools and agents in the Island.

Al-Socotri condemned the recent military moves carried out by the UAE, backed by America and Israel entity, on Abd al Kuri Island, one of the archipelago’s strategic islands.

He called on the occupying countries to take lessons from the previous occupiers, noting that Britain had failed to confront the anger of the Yemeni people and suffered a heavy defeat on the 30th of November 1967.

Al-Socotri explained that the sons of Socotra thwarted many conspiracies, and they stand today united for defense of the archipelago and deterring new occupation.
