SANAA, Nov. 28 (YPA) – Acting Minister of Human Rights in Sanaa, Ali Al-Dailami, discussed with the UNFPA Representative to Yemen, aspects of cooperation and partnership, especially women issues.
This came during his meeting with the resident representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Nestor Owomuhangi.
In the meeting, Al-Dailami affirmed the ministry would continue to build national capacities in the human rights and humanitarian fields and to give priority to women in its various programs and activities.
He touched on the challenges facing the Ministry and the needs that the Fund can contribute to in implementing several programs and activities, which contribute to rehabilitation some issues of human rights, women and childhood.
Al-Dailami pointed to the suffering caused by the aggression and siege on the Yemeni people, especially women, children, in addition to the violations committed by the coalition for human rights in Yemen.
For his part, the UNFPA official stressed the readiness of the Fund to establish cooperation and partnership with the ministry in several areas, especially with regard to women and children.
Owomuhangi reviewed the activities and programs implemented by the UNFPA in Yemen in the fields of education and awareness.
