Iraqi forces launch large-scale security operation in Diyala

DIYALA, Nov. 14 (YPA) – Iraqi forces have launched a large-scale security operation in the eight-pronged Hamrin mountain range to hunt down remnants of ISIS terrorists.

The operation, carried out by the Diyala Operations Command of the Iraqi Army and the Popular Mobilization Forces, included. The area between Baghdad Kirkuk Road and Qara Taba Road in the Hamrin Mountain Range in Diyala province.

The operation was carried out with the support of the Iraqi Air Force and based on intelligence as well as  daily observations to track down ISIS cells that carried out numerous crimes against civilians.

Iraqi forces continue to hunt down remnants of ISIS terrorists in various areas of Iraq and have eliminated and arrested large numbers of them.
