SANAA, Nov. 09 (YPA) – Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation has directed to ban the import of foreign oranges during the production season in Yemen.
The ministry affirmed in a statement that the move came to encourage and support the local production.
“Saba News Agency” quoted Deputy Director of Marketing and Agricultural Trade, Ali Hareb, that the General Administration of Marketing issued a circular banning the circulation and display of imported oranges in local markets.
He called on foreign importers of oranges to adhere to the circular, stressing that any quantities showing in the local markets would be confiscated.
