Bahrain signs medical cooperation agreement with Israel occupation entity

MANAMA, Nov. 02 (YPA) – Bahrain and the Israeli occupation entity on Tuesday signed a cooperation agreement between two hospitals in the Kingdom and the Israeli ‘Sheba’ Medical Center to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

“We have started face-to-face meetings, and soon there will be a staff heading to Bahrain for training and education,” said Yoel Har-Even, director of the international department at the Sheba Medical Center.

He added, “This is just the beginning, and in the future, we will bring Sheba’s innovations to Bahrain, and we can cooperate and work very soon,” according to Hebrew media.

The Bahraini authorities did not reveal the details of the agreement, and the date of the arrival of the Israeli delegation to Manama.

It is noteworthy that the Israeli “Sheba” Center is the first Israeli hospital in the UAE, according to an agreement signed last year between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv.

The new cooperation comes to activate the normalization agreement signed by the Bahraini and Israeli sides in September 2020 under the auspices of the United States of America.
