Attack hits Al-Tanf military base in southern Syria

SANAA, Oct. 21 (YPA) – Al-Tanf military base in southern Syria that houses American troops was attacked on Wednesday, US officials said .

Reuters quoted US officials as saying that the US base in the Al-Tanf area “was targeted by drones and explosions occurred at the base.”

The coordinated attack appeared to consist of at least one drone strike and possibly firing from the ground, the one of the US official said.

It was not immediately clear who was responsible for the attack.
