Head of Syrian intelligence division meets with Yemeni military Attaché in Damascus

DAMASCUS, Oct. 18 (YPA) – Major General Kifah Melhem head of the Military Intelligence Division in the Syrian Army met on Sunday with the military attaché of Republic of Yemen in Syria, Colonel Sharaf al-Mawri  in Damascus.

During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in Yemen and the cooperation between the two countries in the relevant areas.

At the meeting, Al-Mawari conveyed the greetings of the head of the military intelligence service, Major General Abdullah al-Hakim, to his Syrian counterpart, military commanders and all members of the Ministry of Defence.

For his part, Major General Melhem praised the victories of the army and popular committees in Yemen .

He stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between Yemen and Syria in the face of al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorist organizations and the exchange of information and experiences that limit the activities of takfiri groups in the two countries.
