Sanaa celebrates Int’l Day of Anesthesia

SANAA, Oct. 15 (YPA) – The Yemeni Society of Anesthesiologists, Intensive Care and Pain Management celebrated on Friday the International Day of Anesthesia.

In an event, Dr. Mutahar Al-Marouni, Director of the Public Health and Population Office in Sanaa, indicated that the celebration of the International Day of Anesthesia coincided with the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday.

He stressed the importance of anesthesiologists’ role and their continuous efforts in providing the community service.

For his part, the head of the Yemeni Society, Dr. Yahya Al-Huraibi, pointed to the importance of introducing the field of anesthesia and keenness to develop its services and overcome any obstacles in this medical field.

The event ended the significance of keeping pace with developments in the field of anesthesia, especially in light of the exceptional circumstances the country is going through.
