Marib Sheikhs welcome Sayyed Abdulmalik’s initiative to bring peace to province
SANAA, Oct. 03 (YPA) – Senior Sheikhs and dignitaries of Marib province on Sunday announced their welcome to the initiative of Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi.
Sheikh Hussein Hazeb, one of the notables of the sheikhs of Murad in Marib, confirmed that a copy of the statement welcoming the initiative was delivered to the office of Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi and two other copies to the Omani mediator and the official spokesman for Ansarullah.
The statement of the Marib tribes said that the initiative of Sayyed Abdulmalik, since its announcement, “has created a wide movement and made a great concession for the sake of Yemen and put all the people of Marib before a great responsibility.”
He stressed that the initiative of Sayyed Al-Houthi means stopping the bloodshed and the war.
The Marib tribes noted that the welcome statement was preceded by communication between a number of the province’s sheikhs in Sanaa, Marib and foreign capitals.
The statement pointed out that “the enemy, through those who stand with it from among our people, was able to turn the province into a base and a starting point for attacking Sanaa and the provinces of the Republic.”
The statement added that “the ball is now in the court of the party that stands with the Saudi-led coalition forces, and whoever refuses the initiative must bear the responsibility for the consequences.”
