Deputy Primer, Finance Minister meets ICRC delegation head

SANAA, June 10 (YPA) – Deputy Primer, Minister of Finance, Hussein Abdullah Maqboli met with the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation in Yemen, Francois Morillon.

During the meeting, the officials reviewed the activities of the Red Cross mission and its work during the current period, as well as discussing some of the problems which the Mission faced  during its work in the areas of confrontation.

Maqboli pointed to the government’s keenness to provide the necessary facilities for the continuation of the work of humanitarian organizations, including the International Committee of the Red Cross and to work for resolving the problems that face them.

For his part, Morillon said that the work of the mission continues in several committees, and any problem face the mission will be resolved with the official and security authorities, which demonstrate understanding of the work of the Red Cross.

“We trust on the security measures taken by Government of Salvation in Sanaa and other areas and we are keen to double our activity and presence to provide assistance,” Morillon said.
