HODEIDAH, Sept. 20 (YPA) – The Yemeni army backed by the popular committees on Monday managed to foil an infiltration attempt carried out by Saudi-led coalition’s mercenaries towards army’s locations in Hodeidah province, western Yemen, a military official said.
According to the official, the mercenaries tried to advance towards several areas in the west parts of Hays district, but were foiled by the army forces.
The attack on the village of Bara in the same district lasted three hours, in which the coalition forces suffered heavy losses.
Moreover, the official said the coalition’s military bulldozer of the forces made combat fortifications south of Al-Jah in the directorate of Beit al-Faqih.
On Sunday, The Saudi-led coalition forces committed 416 violations of the UN-mediated Sweden Agreement about Hodeidah ceasefire.
