Worsening living situation ignites angry protests in Taiz

TIAZ, Sept. 18 (YPA) – Hundreds of people of Taiz organized on Saturday a massive protest rally against the worsening living situation in the province.

In the rally, the participants demand an end to the collapse of the currency, the deterioration of living conditions, and the referral of all the corrupt to the Public Funds Prosecution, as well as the departure of the absent governor from the province.

The statement condemned the continued disregard by the Saudi-exiled government for the tragedies in the city, in light of withholding of salaries and allocations for the province.

The protesters called for an end to the economic deterioration, the provision of basic services, and an end to the corrupt.

They vowed to continue the escalation and strike to carry out their demands and to lift the siege on the city and to find real solutions to stop the deterioration of the economy.
