STC expects rain of varying intensity to continue within next 24 hours

SANAA, Sept.06 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected the continuation of rainfall of varying intensity on most of Yemeni provinces within the next 24 hours.

The center stated, in its weather bulletin on Monday, that moderate to heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms would prevail over separate areas of the interior plateaus of the provinces of Bayda, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra.

The rains would include parts of the mountainous range of the provinces of Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Al Dhalea, Rayma, Dhamar, Mahweet and Hajjah.

It pointed to the continuation of the south and southwest monsoon winds on the Socotra archipelago and the eastern coasts.

The center warned citizens not to be present in the waterways and valleys during and after rain.
