Minister of Fisheries inaugurates shrimp fishing season in the Red Sea

HODEIDAH, Aug. 21 (YPA) – Minister of Fisheries and Hodeidah Governor Mohammed Ayash Quhim in the Salvation Government on Saturday inaugurated the fishing session of shrimp in the Salif district in the Red Sea port province of Hodeidah for the year 2021-2022 under the slogan “Towards sustainable fish wealth”.

In the inauguration, al-Zubairi pointed out the ministry of fisheries’ keenness to promote the fish sector through the implementation of several fish projects, including the establishment of a fish cooperative company.

“The duties of this company is to provide fuel stations for fishermen in various fishing drop centers in addition to establishing ice factories for fishermen,” he explained.

Minister Zubeiri noted  that during the coming week, all fish centers will be networked through which  the production volume of fish will be known, and the exploitation of fishermen by agents will be prevented.
