Al-Qaeda elements kidnap displaced children in Marib camps

MARIB, Aug. 13 (YPA) – Al-Qaeda militants stormed have several camps for the internally displaced persons (IDP)’s in the city of Marib, kidnapping large numbers of children, local sources said.

The sources affirmed that members of the terrorist organization took the kidnapped children towards the organization’s camps in Al Shabwan-held areas in Wadi Abaidah.

Dozens of landmines and explosive devices have been planted by Al-Qaeda members in the vicinity of the camps, as well as to trenches and built barricades are being created in the middle of the camps with the goal of attacking Sanaa forces from inside the camp, the sources added.

The sources indicated that a state of great panic prevails among the displaced families, amid reports of physical assault by the organization.
