Infighting renews between STC’s leaders in Abyan

ABYAN, Jul. 22 (YPA) – Clashes between leaders of the UAE-backed “Southern Transitional Councl (STC) resumed in the center of Zinjibar district, the capital of Abyan province, southern  Yemen, local sources reported.

According to local sources, the infighting  broke out again between the director of the transport office in in the district Mansour Wadi, and the leader in the  “Security Belt militias “Abu Musab”, early Thursday, hours after it stopped following the intervention of tribal mediation.

Various types of weapons were used in the clashes, the sources said.

The sources explained that the clashes returned between the militants of the leaders, despite the attempt of tribal mediation to contain the infighting that broke out since dawn on Wednesday, causing material losses.
