SANAA, Jul. 04 (YPA) – The Saudi Ministry of Interior issued a decision banning the travel of its citizens, without prior permission from the concerned authorities, to the UAE, Ethiopia and Vietnam.
The ministry said in a statement that the step has come out of Kingdom’s government’s keenness on the safety of citizens wishing to travel abroad, and in light of the continuing outbreak of the Corona pandemic and its mutated strain. It was decided to prevent direct or indirect travel of citizens, without obtaining prior permission from the Ministry of Health.
The statement added, “It was decided to suspend entry from the aforementioned countries, in addition to Afghanistan, except for those who stayed 14 days outside those four countries.”
The decision excluded citizens who are currently in those countries and will be able to return before midnight on coming Sunday.
