PM stresses need to develop technical education to serve development goals

SANAA, Jun. 29 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Tuesday stressed the need to develop the technical education and vocational training in order to address the problem of unemployment and serve the goals of economic and social development.

During his meeting in Sanaa with the leadership of the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Dr. bin Habtoor praised the Ministry’s efforts, its developing plan and its keenness on strengthening partnership with the private sector working in the training field.

The meeting discussed the coordination and preparation for the 11th international conference on the future vision of education and training to be held in Sanaa next November.

The quality assurance project for trainers at the level of the Republic was also discussed during the meeting, in addition to aspects of developing the partnership between the training centers of the Ministry and the Arab Board.

It was agreed to form a joint working group from the Ministry and the Arab Board to prepare for the international conference.
