Human rights office in Taiz condemns Hadi gov’t’s violations in province

TAIZ, Jun. 17 (YPA) – The Human Rights Office in Taiz province condemned on Thursday violations and the insecurity targeting several Hadi government-held areas of the province.

The office expressed, in a statement, its great concern over the deteriorating security situation in the heart of the city of Taiz, which is under the control of loyalists of the Saudi-led aggression coalition.

The statement pointed out that these events are taking place in the light of a popular movement against the militia gangs loyal to the coalition due to the deteriorating living conditions, as a result of the actions of the factions and militias, which led to catastrophic effects on the humanitarian situation those areas.

The office also denounced the repeated attacks on educational centers and academic staff at Taiz University by the criminal gangs, the latest of which was a gang led by the mercenary Abdul Hakim Al-Shuja.

It held all factions loyal to the aggression coalition criminal responsible for all their crimes committed against humanity.

The statement called on all international and local human rights organizations to intervene, monitor and document these crimes in order to reduce them, as well as to prosecute their perpetrators and bring them to justice.
