UAE directs Tariq Saleh to displace Mayun island’s sons

TAIZ, Jun. 16 (YPA) – The UAE has directed its representative, “Tariq Saleh”, to displace the sons of the Yemeni island of Mayun, located in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, sources familiar with the matter said.

The sources pointed out that “Tariq Saleh” or Tariq Afash [his nickname] made an agreement with Saleh Hussein, who one of the Sheikhs of Mayun island, to give every citizen on the island one million Saudi riyals in addition to houses as compensation for moving to the Yekhtal area north of the coastal city of “Al-Mocha city”, west of Taiz province.

The sources confirmed that the so-called Sheikh “Saleh Hussein” would visit “al-Mocha city” to see the place designated for the displaced the island’s residents.

The UAE is accelerating the steps of displacement with the goal of opening its military base overlooking the most important trade corridors of global energy.

The UAE steps on the island come in light of the Saudi-backed Hadi government” legitimizing the UAE’s occupation of the Yemeni islands, one of which is the island of Mayun has been described the most important waterway in the world.

The UAE-funded Tariq Saleh is the nephew of former Yemeni president, Ali Abdullah Saleh.
