ABYAN, Jun. 14 (YPA) – The perpetrators of the Friday massacre in Zinjibar city in Abyan province, south of Yemen, admitted on Monday the involvement of “Saudi-backed Hadi forces” in carrying out the operation.
During interrogations, the two accused admitted that members of Hadi’s forces in “Modia” district were responsible for planning the attack in the city of Zinjibar, the capital of the province.
One of them said in video confessions that the operation was carried out on instructions from leaders in the Muslim Brotherhood forces linked to Al-Qaeda in the “Modia” district.
The interrogations added that the organization had prepared a motorbike bomb, and assigned one of its member to monitor and detonate the vehicle.
On Friday, the Zanzibar bombing killed and wounded dozens of soldiers in the Third Brigade of Support and Support loyal to the UAE in Abyan.
