Angry protesters storm local authority’s headquarters in Taiz

TAIZ, Jun. 14 (YPA) – Dozens of protesters stormed on Monday the headquarters of the local authority in Taiz province.

Local sources affirmed that escalation of the storming of the headquarters’ arena came to remind the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi government and the Islah group that the protesters have options to overthrow the corrupt.

During the past two days, the demonstrators had set up camps, declaring an open sit-in until removing the corrupt.

Taiz has been experiencing a state of great popular protests in recent weeks, due to the difficult economic conditions and the spread of corruption in the governorate’s facilities, in addition to the spread of criminal gangs, assassinations and property robbery.
