LAHJ, Jun.05 (YPA) – Sixteen people, including children and women from the same family, died on Friday in a horrific traffic accident in Tor al-Baha area of Lahj province, southern Yemen, medical and local sources said.
The sources explained that the incident, which occurred in al-Farsha area, in Tor Al-Baha, was caused by a collision of a bus carrying a family travelling to Aden and a Prado SUV belonging to an international organization.
The sources added that the incident caused the crowded bus to catch fire, resulting in the death of 16 people and the injury of three varying injuries.
This is the second largest traffic accident in Lahj since the beginning of this year, after a similar accident in the city of Al-Huta resulted in the deaths of 15 passengers in March.
