Islah militants kidnap senior leaders of STC in Shabwa

SHABWA, Jun 2 (YPA) – The Saudi-backed Islah Party’s militants kidnapped a senior leader in the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Shabwa province.

According to local sources in the province, Islah’s “special forces” kidnapped the head of the media department in the STC, Thabet Abdullah al-Khalafi, in the city of Ataq, and took him to an unknown place.

Khalafi leader was kidnapped by Al-Islah militants in the city in mid-February, as part of the continuous series of kidnappings that target the STC’s supporters in Shabwa.
