Official survives armed attack in central Taiz

TAIZ, Jun 2 (YPA) – A local official loyal to Saudi-led coalition survived an assassination attempt in the city of Taiz, southwest of Yemen, sources said.

The sources affirmed that unidentified gunmen fired a barrage of bullets at the Director-General of the Office of Planning and International Cooperation, Nabil Jamil, in Al-Masbah quarter in the city.

One of Jamil’s sons was injured during the attack, the sources added.
